It’s only been a short few days since the biggest Oscars fuck up of all time, when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly read out La La Land‘ instead of rightful winner ‘Moonlight’.
But since then, we’ve seen an amazing recollection of the night from host Jimmy Kimmel, some excellent detective work from the internet, and, naturally, like a thousand stellar memes of it all.

Now, a British cinema has gotten in on the fun, playing the first 20 seconds of ‘La La Land‘ during a screening of ‘Moonlight‘.
The Rio Cinema in East London featured clips from the LLL trailer at the start of Monday night’s screening, with staff playing along to the bit for audience members who, according to manager Andrew Woodyatt, were very good natured about the whole thing:
“It would have been quite awkward if they hadn’t got the joke – but luckily they did,”“We stopped it, make it look as though we made a mistake, and then started Moonlight. It got a huge round of applause and everyone loved it.”
So well done Rio Cinema, ripping good laugh.
And to the Oscars, may you never, ever, stop being a complete massive joke every year anyway.
Props to @riocinema in #Dalston for playing the first 20 seconds of La La Land immediately before last night’s screening of Moonlight pic.twitter.com/2ZLllrnPFq
