Brissy Locked In For Manny Pacquiao’s Historic Fight With Aussie Teacher

The Queensland government has confirmed that world champion boxer Manny Pacquiao will be fighting local rookie Jeff ‘The Fighting Schoolteacher’ Horn at Brisbane‘s Suncorp Stadium in Lang Park on July 2.
It’s an absolutely wild pairing, considering that Pacquiao, a 38-year-old veteran and current three-time WBO welterweight champion (and a senator in the Philippines government), is one of the biggest names in boxing ever, and Jeff Horn is a 29-year-old former teacher.
Horn is astonishingly confident about the fight though, telling the press today:
“I hope Manny takes me lightly. I hope he underestimates me because when he gets in that ring and there are 55,000 people cheering he is in for a big shock.

“Manny is one of the greatest fighters of all time but I believe I’m getting him at the right time in his career. He’s 38 now and I’m 29 and I’m ready to take his world title.”
The fight will be the biggest in Australian history, and is set to be a landmark sporting event for 2017. Suncorp is expecting record crowds, and are promising to price the tickets reasonably.
If Horn manages to pull off the impossible and actually win – yeah, you’re gonna want to be there.
