This Boiler Suit Scored Me Five Compliments In A Weekend, If You Need One For Yourself

It’s rare that I wear something that isn’t like, a weird vintage thing that garners heavy loads of compliments. But this boiler suit bloody done did it, you guys.

FYI this has nothing to do with me and everything to do with the boiler suit itself. I was but the vehicle, my friends.

Here’s the boiler, btw. It’s by Aussie brand Thrills.

Here it is from the back, too.

Now, the model wears it quite like ~ edgy ~ but I was wearing it with my Cons. In summer, I’m going to wear it with my platform sandals but that’s because I generally force a 70s vibe into my wardrobe.

I also had the cuffs unrolled, and on me (like 5’8?) it lands around lower ankle. So not full length but not super cropped either.

Anyway the first person to give me a compliment was my mum so that barely counts – PSYCH! It totally counts, my mum is a stone cold bitch when it comes to what I wear. She’s always saying “oh, I don’t know, the pants are so WIDE aren’t they” when I ask her what she thinks of new jeans or whatever. My point is that if she just out-of-the-blue says something I’m wearing looks 10/10, it means something.

Then my friend Alex asked where it was from, saying it looked super comfy and cool (it is super comfy and cool).

My other friend Aimee concurred.

This was all on Saturday. I wore it also on Sunday because I had to choof to the shops to buy a shitload of stuff from Tree Of Life (I did not, I regret everything and so does my bank account) and the retail gal was all “omg where is your jumpsuit from?”. Now, I know – retail folks are basically paid to compliment you so you buy more stuff in stores. I don’t see how this works considering if I’m WEARING cool shit, I do not need to BUY cool shit. But who knows, the ego is a needy bitch.

BUT! But. She then asked me where it was from, is it still available etc. This is the TEA, you guys! This is how you know someone actually likes your threads and isn’t just pretending.

Finally, and this was the clincher for writing this story for you – my friend Amy messaged me to say that her work friend had seen me at family brunch on the weekend (!!) and wanted to know where my boiler suit was from because she liked it. Amazing areas.

If you want one – it’s pretty affordable ($150), made of really lightweight denim, no stretch but does give a little so don’t go too big (I got a size 12 for length, and it’s perfect. I’m normally a 10-12) and is available online rn.
