Bloody Good Egg Beau Ryan Races To Dying Fan’s Side After FB Call-Out

If this doesn’t warm your v. cold heart then you, sir, are not of this world.
In a truly lovely marriage of the power of social media and an Aussie bloke with a big heart,
Footy Show host and former NRL star Beau Ryan has rushed to the bedside of a dying fan mere hours after a friend begged him to visit her via a social media call-out.
An urgent request was posted to Facebook by Jillaroo and women’s sevens star Mahalia Murphy late last night, asking people to help track down either Greg Inglis or Beau on behalf of her friend – a big fan with “roughly four hours to live as she’s fighting cancer”.
The Facebook post was shared about 500 times and, then, guess what? Beau piped up to say he was leaving Shellharbour immediately and would be at Randwick‘s Prince of Wales Hospital as soon as he could.

Fast forward two hours, and Beau was by his sick fan’s bedside putting a no doubt much-needed smile on her face.

Later, Murphy posted that Beau’s kind gesture made all the difference to her friend, whose condition remains unknown.
“Priceless moment for my girl… The energy she gained from his presence was amazing ! Beau Ryan is a legend ! After 4 hours notice he made it !!!”
