Blac Chyna’s Attempt To Trademark Kardashian Name Shot Down In Flames

In a stunning (and, come on, kind of funny) rebuke to Blac Chyna / Angela Renée White, the Kardashian family’s move to bar her from trademarking the name Angela Renée Kardashian has proven successful.

Chyna, the on-again off-again partner of Rob Kardashian and mother of their child, attempted to trademark her presumptive married name back in December.

The fam vehemently opposed. According to legal docs, sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe held the legitimately savage view that they would “suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill” should Chyna be allowed to trademark the stupidly lucrative moniker.
This knock-back also comes after the whole hacking saga, in which messages alleging Chyna would ditch “fat” and “lazy” Rob after a year of wedded bliss were unleashed on the public.
However, Chyna’s legal team had a different view of the whole deal. Back when she first attempted to lock down the legal rights, her lawyer claimed it was a common-sense move, saying “I think for us this is going to be a clear case win, because it’s actually her name, it’s not a poaching.”
Well, it would have been her name had they tied the knot, but hey. Expect this one to spiral even further out of control, especially if the pair actually does get married.
