In preparation for the release of the latest issue of V Magazine, they’ve released one of the shots inside the mag – it’s Bella Hadid, in grainy black & white, topless and gazing deeply into the camera.
If the image looks a little familiar, it’s because it’s paying some deep, gorgeous homage to a 90s photo of a young Kate Moss. It was one of the famous images of Moss, from the famous Calvin Klein ‘Obsession’ advertising campaign.
The original photo, and the photo of Bella Hadid in V are both shot by Mario Sorrenti – so bless him, he’s paying some tribute to one of his own great and best-known images.
Last year, Bella was featured in her very own Calvin Klein campaign for fall, alongside Kate Moss herself, Margot Robbie and Vogue‘s Grace Coddington.
