Bassike Spring/Summer 2010/11 Lookbook

Double denim, comfortable though it may seem, is a longstanding fashion faux pas that only toddlers, agricultural workers and early 2000s pop power couples can get away with. In Bassike’s Spring/Summer 2010/11 lookbook however, the Candaian Tuxedo receives a modern twist that may yet hoist it from the depths of socially unacceptable casual wear. Maybe.

Elsewhere the collection stays true to the key ethos echoed in Bassike’s name. No wheel reinventing here but that’s not really the point. From expertly tailored shirts, trousers and jackets with a circa 90s flavour (think washed out denim and power suiting) to the well proportioned chinos/sweater that every man should have hanging in their wardrobe, there’s a lot to like in Bassike’s no muss attitude to summer dressing.
