Leandra Medine of the peplum-waisted, mullet-skirted, arm-party inclined blog The Man Repeller (above far right) and Rumi Neely (above far left) of your daily bread luxe personal style blog Fashiontoast appear to be heading down under on what they’ve dubbed ‘work trips‘ (which you and I would call a ‘fuck yes free holiday‘ – see below) according to veritable source of all things serious journalism – twitter.
MBFW (previously RAFW) has had serious love for Medine and Neely’s contemporaries in the past, with Scott Schumann of The Sartorialist and Garance Doré visiting in ’09, and the tulle-ensconced triumvirate Sussanah Lau of Style Bubble, Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil and Phil Oh of Streetpeeper making repeat trips in ’10 and ’11, alongside regular fixture Yvan ‘Facehunter‘ Rodic. Thinking man’s online fashion writer Imran Ahmed of The Business of Fashion also made his maiden voyage last year.
Both bloggers have also had may-jor bloglovin’ for Australian designers in the past, including TMR’s well-documented love for Kym Ellery and camilla & marc, as well as Neely’s endorsement of Mad Love. With Ellery on the official schedule (albeit for an off-site show) and camilla & marc TBC, there’ll be plenty of sartorially man repellent collections for one and all.
