Artist Behind Sydney’s Prince Mural Sprays One Of Baller Steven Adams In US

New Zealand-born and Sydney-based artist Mr G has had a pretty hectic few weeks after his gorgeous, moving tribute to the late, great Prince captured the attention of the globe in late April.

The man born Graham Hoete has already created another outstanding tribute piece in Sydney, this time to the sadly departed Muhammed Ali, and now he’s created his most visible work yet.
Travelling to Oklahoma City, Mr G has thrown up a giant, badass piece immortalising New Zealand’s biggest and most fearsome basketballing export: Oklahoma City Thunder centre Steven Adams.
The intimidatingly big Adams grew up in a town not too far from Mr G’s home, and is more or less the biggest thing (no pun intended) to happen to New Zealand basketball in a decent while.
More to that, his hulking frame and hard play have made him something of a cult figure amongst Thunder fans.
So Mr G, being gifted a solid sized wall in OKC, chucked up the piece over the past few days.
And it looks fierce as hell.

Thunder fans and OKC residents have already taken a shine to the piece, with local media covering both it and Mr G extensively as he put the mural together.
One fan, however, raised a pretty solid proposition.

Trade period not withstanding, that’s a pretty decent call.
