Adidas Announce Official Partnership W/ Kanye, Will Open Legit Yeezy Stores

adidas have announced overnight that they’re turning their collaboration with Kanye West‘s ‘Yeezy’ label into a fully-fledged partnership, adidas + KANYE WEST’.
So, you guessed it – legitimate bricks & mortar Yeezy stores are a-comin’.

adidas is calling the partnership “the most significant partnership ever created between a non-athlete and an athletic brand”.

West said this regarding the announcement:

“These past two years adidas and YEEZY have given a glimpse into our future. This partnership illustrates that anyone with a dream can dream without limitations.”

“Kanye is a true creator who has the ability to see things others don’t. We are excited and honoured to build on this partnership, and eagerly look forward to defining the future together,” said adidas Group Executive Board Member Eric Liedtke.

This means there will be an established Yeezy unit within the adidas team, which will work with Kanye West to create new lines of shoes, clothing and accessories, which is a giant leap from Ye’s current offerings, the 350’s and the 750’s.

Despite the shoes selling for a couple of hundred dollars a pair, the resale value of each can easily go up above $1000.
Arguably the most exciting part of the partnership is that Adidas announced they’ll be opening Yeezy flagship stores, which will serve as “distinct hubs for adidas and Kanye’s products”.
Firstly – how insanely fucking cool would a Yeezy store look? And secondly, it means the range of product will be expansive enough to be worthy of a separate dedicated store. HUGE.
Ye released Yeezy Season 3 in February during a listening party for his latest album, ‘The Life of Pablo’.
While we’re real damn excited to see a tangible Yeezy store open, we are straining our extremities by crossing them so tightly in hopes one will be in Australia. PLSPLSPLSPLSPLSPLSPLSPLS PLEASE.
