A Greek Doughnut Joint Has Opened Up In Melbourne & We’re Hellas Keen

Doughnuts are love, doughnuts are life.
I cannot get enough of them. And nor can the rest of you, by the looks of things.
We were gifted Krispy Kreme in ‘Straya back in 2003, when the first gluttonous franchise opened in Penrith. More recently we were given Doughnut Time; the pop-culturally aware and hectically-decorated sugar bombs that no doubt litter your Instagram feed like no other.
And now, folks, we have Lukumades.

A post shared by LUKUMADES (@lukumadesmelbourne) on

Lukumades hand-crafted, traditional Greek doughnuts with a modern twist. That is, they’re fresh, warm, golden balls of fried dough. Drizzled with Nutella, sprinkled with crushed Oreos or smothered in salted caramel.
Sure, they’re not your usual hole-in-the-middle, bog standard “doughnuts”, but they’re bloody delish.
They opened up shop at 83 Peel St, West Melbourne (real close to Vic Market!) on Friday where they’re serving up the sweet morsels, as well as freshly-roasted coffee.
I don’t know about you but shut up and take my money.
