2 Aussie Women Injured During Acid Attack In Packed London Nightclub

Two Australian women have suffered minor injuries after an acid attack at a London nightclub overnight.

Sisters Isobella and Prue Fraser, 22 and 20 respectively, were among at least 12 people hit by the corrosive substance inside Hackney’s MangleE8.

Both women sustained chemical burns, for which they have received treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Isobella told 9 News they walked themselves to the hospital, as “the ambulance was taking too long and we just wanted to go home to try and sleep as we were in shock.”
Metropolitan Police say a fight between two groups of clubgoers resulted in “a noxious substance being sprayed by a male suspect directly at Victims 1 and 2.”
Those two male victims sustained more serious injuries. They both remain in hospital.

600 people were reportedly inside the club at the time of the attack. It’s not believed the attack was related to gang violence nor terrorism.
Metropolitan Police is continuing to investigate.
