A Massive WWE Stadium Show Is Officially Taking Over The MCG This October

In the circumstance that you are both a WWE and Socceroos fan then I hope this bit of excellent news cheers you up after our World Cup Round One loss to France tonight. C’est la vie.

In partnership with TEG Dainty, WWE are coming back to Australia to host one helluva massive – literally named – Super Show-Down live at the Melbourne Cricket Ground come Saturday, 6 October.

That’s one week after the AFL Grand Final.

The last time a WWE stadium show happened here was way back in 2002 for Global Warning at Etihad Stadium. Brock Lesnar’s neck wasn’t as thick as he took on The Rock and Triple H in a Triple Threat match.

The lineup will be the biggest to ever appear in the country with a main event between Triple H and The Undertaker – this is possibly one of the last times to catch him live.

As for that lineup we currently have John Cena, Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, ( *yells* the Heartbreak Kid) Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Nia Jax, Shane McMahon, AJ Styles, Charlotte Flair, Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Big Show, Bray Wyatt, and Aussie tag team duo Billie Kay and Peyton Royce of The IIconics.

No really, it’s happening:

For once, we don’t have to wake up at 4AM to catch a stadium show. This is a beauty. Everyone else around the world can stream the event live on the WWE Network or catch it on on pay-per view.

If you want to test your luck, the Sunday Herald Sun are giving punters the chance to win one of 50 double passes to the event before tickets even go on sale. You can learn more about that HERE.

Tickets for the Super Show-Down will be available Thursday, June 28, at 10AM via Ticketek. To get on the waiting, click HERE.

Telstra customers, there’ll be an exclusive Telstra Thanks pre-sale this Friday, June 22 at 12 noon. The pre-sale ends Tuesday, June 26, 10PM.

Just imagine experiencing the equivalent of Titus O’Neil taking a bloody tumble IN THE FLESH.

I genuinely lose my shit every damn time.

Love you, Vince.
