Wild Oats XI has taken out their eighth Sydney To Hobart win today, setting a new record in the process.
Owner Bob Oatley has declared the win ‘an absolute miracle’, as it fended off competition from American contender, Comanche, late this afternoon. At the tail end of the race, there was only ten miles between them.
Wild Oats XI first won the Sydney to Hobart back in 2005. Below they explain some of their secrets.
