Injuries on the sporting field are seldom pretty and seldom for the faint-of-heart, as the below video of rising US college football star Nick Chubb goes to show.
The young Geogia running back went viral today for all the wrong reasons when, during the first quarter of a game against Tennessee, he was tackled and hyperextended his leg, suffering a gruesome-looking knee injury as a result.

OUCH.
CBS News report that Chubb collapsed after leaving the training table while being taken to a cart, but regained consciousness once there, and was taken to the locker room before being loaded into an ambulance and rushed to hospital.
Chubb was ruled out for the rest of the game, but his prospects for the rest of the season remain unknown.
