WATCH: Conor McGregor Pegged Bottles At Nate Diaz In A Chaotic UFC Presser

Conor McGregor does not like Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz does not like Conor McGregor.
Conflict! It’s the basis of all good drama. And the drama between Diaz and McGregor is good you could practically survive off it.
UFC 202 is coming up this weekend, and with it comes the hotly anticipated rematch between the two bitter rivals, and as such the pair are being trotted out in front of media to hurl the hype train further down the track.
But there’s something a little different this time around. Something not quite right. Conor, who usually revels in the throes of a three-ring media circus, seems tired, bored, frustrated, and fatigued by the whole process. Rather than the stinging verbals barbs we’re used to, he’s now openly railing against the media machine, insisting he’s merely “a fighter,” and not an entertainer. He’s taking cheap shots at the WWE and professional wrestlers. He’s openly asserting that he’s not paid to talk. He’s repeating himself, and his own bravado seems to be weighing him down.
That’s not stopping Diaz from baiting him, though. Not one little bit.
At today’s press conference for the upcoming fight, absolute bedlam erupted after Diaz walked off the stage mid-speech from Conor, prompting the Diaz camp to begin firing off at McGregor. But rather than enjoy the fact he got inside their heads, McGregor rose up and took the bait, hurling water bottles across the room at Team Diaz.

Following that fracas, which UFC boss Dana White had to promptly shut down, a clearly weary McGregor stopped by ESPN Sportscenter‘ for what’s easily the least convincing interview of McGregor’s career.

Is this all just McGregor continuing to rail against the endless media commitments he’s repeatedly stated are pointless? Or is his once-impenetrable braggadocios confidence finally starting to crack?
Either way, it’ll all make for one hell of a fight come this weekend.
