WATCH: Champion Skier Narrowly Escapes Being Smoked By Rogue Drone

Oi, drone flyers: WATCH WHERE YOU’RE FLYING THOSE THINGS OK BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE MOVEABLE PARTS WE’D QUITE LIKE TO KEEP THANKS.

Four-time World Cup champion skier Marcel Hirscher was doing his thing in a slalom (LOL silly word) race in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, when he came seconds from either serious injury or death by having a news drone crash down millimetres from his head, sending blades, gears and machinery all over the place.
Watch and simultaneously wipe the sweat off your brow:
Thankfully, the 26-year-old Austrian was fine – though more than a little pissed it was flying over the ski field (there’s no word on how/why it actually came down).
“This is horrible,” Hirscher, who finished second, told ESPN after the race. “This can never happen again. This can be a serious injury.”
UMMMMMMMMMM YAH.

Heavy air traffic in Italy ?? #crazy #drone #crash #luckyme

The regulation of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) in Australia is still a grey area; as legislation stands you can literally fly them over almost any area, including prisons.

But there have been increasingly louder calls for some more stringent guidelines to be put in place for safety reasons, especially after an Aussie athlete copped a hacked drone to the face during a 2014 triathlon.
Keep that shit locked down, m8s.
