There are probably few things more romantic than proposing to your girlfriend at a packed baseball game (editor’s note: there are actually lots of things more romantic than proposing to your girlfriend at a packed baseball game), but there’s nothing more romantic than doing exactly that and then very publicly fucking it up in front of not only a stadium full of people, but also a televised audience (editor’s note: there is).
That is exactly what happened to Andrew Fox, who thought it would be a super good idea to propose to his partner Heather Terwilliger at a Red Sox–Yankees, which it might have been, if he didn’t drop the ring while every single person in the world was watching him.
Luckily sometimes people are alright though, and the fans around pitched in to help find the ring while the dude looked like he was very quickly dying of embarrassment, much to the entertainment of the commentators.
Fox was not having a wild time:
“I went from really happy and excited to the most depressed you can be in like a second. It probably only took about five minutes until it was found, but it was the worst five minutes of my life.”
Have a watch:
Because every proposal story includes searching for the ring: https://t.co/KvxY6WwLEU pic.twitter.com/MLGo5XiATv

For the record, she said yes. Nice.
