UFC 197 Reportedly Set To Feature Both Conor McGregor & Holly Holm

Huge news, fight fans.
The UFC is arguably in one of its most interesting positions in some time – with a number of headline-grabbing storylines dominating weight divisions – and the lead up to the history UFC 200 event is not going to be a quiet on in the slightest.
The Mixed Martial Arts behemoth is currently slaving away behind the scenes, pulling together the card for the upcoming UFC 197 event, set to take place on March 5th from the familiar confines of the Las Vegas.
And if the word circulating today is to believed, it’s going to be a card for the ages.
Jeremy Botter of online sports mecca Bleacher Report today revealed that the UFC is on the verge of announcing a card that will feature BOTH Irish phenom Conor McGregor, and the woman who knocked off Ronda Rousey in Holly Holm.

If ever it were appropriate: HUGE IF TRUE.
The prospective card would feature current UFC Featherweight Champion McGregor attempting to become a the UFC’s next dual-division champion – an extreme rarity for the promotion – by stepping up to Lightweight to challenge the UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos.
In the other half of the double main event, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holm would make her first defence of the title she sensationally ripped away from Rousey in Melbourne against fellow American Miesha Tate.
The dream card would provide ample coverage for the company as it heads towards UFC 200, where McGregor (at the very least) is expected to fight again.
Neither UFC nor Dana White have made confirmations at this stage, but the oil appears to be good.
In the meantime, UFC 196 is scheduled for February 6th (US time), and is set to be headlined by the return bout between UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabrício Werdum and rival Cain Velasquez.
