Two South Sydney Rabbitohs Stars Rushed To Hospital

A pair of South Sydney Rabbitohs players have been rushed to hospital in the wee hours of this morning, both in serious condition at the time.

Dylan Walker – a 20 year-old utility who was a member of the Bunnies 2014 premiership side – and Aaron Gray – a 21 year-old fringe player who recently re-signed with the club through 2017 – were found in a serious condition at a Sydney home at around 3:45am this morning.
They were both transferred to hospital by ambulance where their condition has since stabilised.
The club confirmed that both players had been hospitalised in a statement that read in part:

“Both players had post season surgery last week, following the end of the Club’s season, in preparation for pre-season training to commence later this year.”

“The Club is keeping abreast of the situation and will not be making any further comment at this stage.”

9News is reporting that Walker may have suffered an adverse reaction to pain relieving drugs Oxycodone and Tramadol, which are standard post-surgery medications.

Representatives for Walker stated they were unclear how Gray also came to be unwell, however Fairfax Media reports that Gray possibly could have suffered a similar adverse reaction to Walker.
