Sorry ladies, but you’ll need to go ahead and quench your thirst for Todd Carney, because the disgraced former NRL player just went and got himself hitched.
The 29-year-old, who was fired from Cronulla after his infamous “bubbling” escapade, married Brazilian bikini model Lilian Tagliari in Bali, announcing it to the world via Instagram.
Carney, rocking what appears to be a new nose ring, captioned the image “Hitched in Bali”, with Tagliari posting an identical image with the caption ‘Night of my life, I love you’.
It’s unclear how long the pair have been together, as there has been no evidence of any relationship on social media prior to today, and fans of the troubled former Shark expressed surprise at the big news.
Carney, who is currently signed with French Super League club Catalans Dragons, is suing the Cronulla Sharks for almost $3 million for unfair dismissal, after he was let go for his off-field behaviour.
While we’re sad we weren’t invited to sink some piss with the happy couple, we wish them a lifetime of golden memories.
