Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared on the The NRL Footy Show last week to chop up all of the onions make a very special phone call to severely injured NRL player, Alex McKinnon.
At the behest of Footy Show presenter Beau Ryan, the actor spoke with the injured Newcastle Knights player who suffered career-ending spinal damage after a sickening tackle in a game against the Melbourne Storm earlier this year, sending nothing but good vibes, encouragement and adoration to the 22 year old former footballer as he continues to recover from one of the most horrific injuries ever sustained on a football field.
“I just wanted to tell you I appreciate your strength,” Johnson said. “And I appreciate you not only inspiring me, man, but millions of people.”
