The Homer Is A Real Thing Now, Raced In California Last Week

The greenest, ugliest and most aerodynamic deficient car in the world is now a real thing thanks to the geniuses at nostalgia inducing U.S. racing team Porcubimmer Motors who pimped a BMW 3 Series into the all green everything abomination of design first seen in the second season of The Simpsons.

Homer, you’ll remember, put his brain cell to work designing a car for the average American blind person and bankrupted his estranged brother Herb’s automobile business in the process. That car was called The Homer and a functioning replica of that monstrosity did the rounds at the 24 Hours of LeMons race in California last weekend, an amusing closed circuit road race contested by novelty race cars built for no more than $500 in a satirical take of the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France.

Good job everyone involved.
