The Gaslight Anthem Announce They’re “Taking A Break”

If you had any Great Expectations about a new Gaslight Anthem album anytime soon, you’re probably going to be left High & Lonesome.

The New Jersey band has announced that they’ll be taking a break from the band at the end of their upcoming tour of Europe throughout August.
In a post on Facebook, the group stated that they will individually be pursuing various musical projects, but that Gaslight as a group will be put on the shelf for the foreseeable future.

Hello all!We wanted to let everyone know that we’ll all be taking a break from The Gaslight Anthem after this next…

The group has released five studio albums in the eight years of their existence, last releasing Get Hurt in 2014.

The group’s members do have some notable side-projects that already exist – lead singer Brian Fallon is one half of the duo The Horrible Crowes, and guitarist Alex Rosamilia is preparing to release an EP by his metal band Servitude at some point this year.
But for now, this gaslight is out. At least for the time being.
