Sixers Fans Worried About Ben Simmons Want Kendall Jenner Banned From Games

So it would seem that Australia’s very own Ben Simmons is back in the Kardashian enclave, having reportedly hooked back up with Kendall Jenner months after their previous summer romance fizzled out with the autumnal sun. And as far as Sixers fans are concerned, it’s nothing but bad news.

Jenner was spotted courtside at the Wells Fargo Centre in Philadelphia over the weekend, watching Simmons and the 76ers take on the suddenly LeBron-less Cleveland Cavaliers.

Not only did the lowly, rag-tag Cavs manage to roll the Sixers to the tune of 121 – 112, but in doing so handed Philadelphia their first home court loss of the season, snapping a previously clean run of 10-0.

Sixers fans, quite firmly, do not believe that Jenner’s appearance and the Sixers’ capitulation are a coincidence. And they’re doing something about it.

Change.org petition has sprung up in the wake of the home loss, calling for Kendall Jenner to be formally banned from the Wells Fargo Centre, regardless of whether this relationship with Simmons persists.

Blaming Jenner’s presence entirely for the Sixers sudden shitting-of-the-bed, the petition states its case thusly:

It has come to the attention of Sixers fans that Ben Simmons has rekindled his relations with Kendall Jenner, a member of the notorious, career killing Kardashian/Jenner family. Jenner was front and centre in attendance for the Sixers loss to the worst team in the league, the Cleveland Cavaliers, better known as the Island of Misfits toys LeBron left behind.

We as Sixers fans cannot sit idly by and let Kendall Jenner ruin what could be a truly special Sixers season by her attendance at Sixers games. We must take action. We must see that the Sixers and the Wells Fargo Centre ban Jenner.

This sits in reference to the infamous “Kardashian Curse” that claims the members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan are built to handle the absurd amounts of fame and attention that they garner, but the people they date definitely are not. To that end, a number of high-profile NBA stars have been churned up and spat out thanks to various relationships with various Kardashians, including Tristan ThompsonJames HardenKris HumphriesLamar Odom, and Blake Griffin.

The petition also blame’s Jenner’s presence, and the curse writ large, for new Sixers recruit Jimmy Butler leaving the game with a minor knee injury, claiming “at this point, Jenner is not only damaging the future of this franchise but the livelihood of innocent men as well.

At the time of writing, over 3,500 people have put their names down in support of the motion to eject all Jenners be they Kylie or Kendall from the Wells Fargo Centre moving forward.

Whether anything will come of this remains to be seen, naturally. As will whether Ben Simmons will fall victim to any Kardashian-related curse.

But as far as the curse goes, one thing’s for certain: It’s not not real.
