Roosters’ Mitchell Pearce Arrested Over Kings Cross Altercation

Mitchell PearceRoosters halfback and owner of a face that subtly suggests Saturday night Kings Cross shenanigans, has been arrested after an early morning altercation with police on the Dirty Half-Mile.

Police were called at 1:30am this morning after the Roslyn St club he was attending complained about his behaviour. The 25-year-old allegedly became argumentative with officers outside the club and refused to leave the area, which is just a classic smart move. Get drunk, argue with police, refuse to go home. Smart move.
He was arrested and given an infringement notice. We’re yet to find out how it’ll impact his chances of being selected for the NSW Origin side – he was previously considered a sure thing, given his performance in the Roosters’ premiership win last season. All that’s looking up in the air now.
