Ronda Rousey’s Entire UFC 184 Fight Fits Into A Single GIF

By now you’ve probably heard all the superlatives. “Unstoppable.” “Game changer.” “A once-in-a-lifetime athlete.” And you’ve probably read about the broken records. “Shortest title fight in UFC history.” “Fastest submission in the modern UFC era.

But those in and of themselves still aren’t quite enough to fully capture the sheer ferocity and jaw-dropping way that UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey dispatched of her challenger Cat Zingano in the main event of yesterday’s UFC 184 pay-per-view event at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
In fact, and in a measurement of time that the internet can truly appreciate, such was the lightning quick and brutal nature of the bout that the entire fight – from bell-to-bell – has been captured in one single, continuous GIF (albeit a sizable one, so watch your data, mobile kids).
Such was the brevity of the bout that Zingano – who’s crucial mistake in the fight was apparently just being in the ring with Rousey in the first place – was reportedly left asking UFC owner Dana White what she had to do to get another shot long after the fight adrenaline had worn off.
Even for casual (and non) fans of the sport, a win like this has to be appreciated. That armbar submission is sick.
Rousey’s apparently got a film shoot on her schedule next, before she starts preparing to steamroll over her next opponent. You might want to practice not blinking before that happens.
