Ronda Rousey To Become First Woman On Cover Of Men’s Fitness Australia

Bantamweight champion, UFC queen and opposite of her infamously-coined “do-nothing bitch”, Ronda Rousey will become the first female cover star of Men’s Fitness Australia (the American offshoot of the magazine, mind, has had a handful of women on their covers already) magazine, as announced on her instagram yesterday.

Thank you @mensfitnessau for making me the first woman on your cover!! ?????? #UFCMelbourne

Rousey was in our midst last month – visiting Sydney and Melbourne for UFC Q&A sessions ahead of her UFC 193 headlining fight with Holly Holm at Etihad Stadium next month.

The fight, if all 56,000+ seats at Etihad Stadium sell out, is set to break records as the most highly-attended UFC match in history: for a fight that could—if Rousey’s repertoire is anything to go by—be over in a matter of super-charged seconds.

On Instagram last month, Rousey was confident Melbourne would successfully smash the record, saying “I truly believe Aussies are the ones who can smash the @ufc attendance record – so looking forward to making history with you all!!!!”

This week, Rousey also made headlines for officially becoming the most-drug tested UFC fighter this year, after data showed Rousey had been tested five times by anti-doping authorities since July, with zero positive results in sight.

Bless. This. Woman. <3
