Magpies Skipper Scott Pendlebury Bounces Ball On Unsuspecting Pigeon

Meanwhile, Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury has bounced a ball on a bloody unlucky pigeon during today’s clash against North Melbourne at the MCG this arvo.

Footage from the game shows Pendlebury making his way through the ground, bouncing the ball off the pigeon’s head, then continuing on his play – probably too in the zone to realise what just happened.

The pigeon looks to be okay though. In fact, according to the footage the pigeon seemed to be just fine as it pecked at the grass soon after, not very bothered by the magpie.

City pigeons are known to be tough birds, not very intimidated by humans or agro seagulls.

In the end, the Magpies took the win over the Kangaroos with a cool 66 point win, 20.10 (130) to 9. 10 (64).

In another novelty case, St Kilda midfielder Jack Steven scored one heck of an unlikely goal during last night’s game against Richmond at Etihad Stadium.

During the game, a couple of Tigers were frantically trying to get the footy away from the posts by punching it up into the air. The ball went flying in the direction of a running Steven, a man who kicked the ball – while it was still in the air – through the posts like it was no big deal.

Last night’s game had been played for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, a charity started by the Riewoldt family after Maddie passed away from bone marrow failure in 2015.
