Parramatta’s Corey Norman To Face Drug Charges, Eels Year Legit In Shitter

If you thought the Parramatta Eels season couldn’t possibly get any fucking worse, you’ve deadset got another thing coming.
The boots keep getting put into the NRL side, with word emerging this afternoon that half Corey Norman has been ordered to face court on two drug charges.
Norman was issued with the court attendance notice by NSW Police this afternoon, and he is now scheduled to appear in the Downing Centre Local Court on two charges, possessing a prohibited drug, and possessing a prescribed restricted substance.
25-year-old Norman was alleged caught with MDMA caps and muscle relaxants at The Star Casino.
Earlier, Norman, fellow Eel Junior Paulo, and James Segeyaro of the Penrith Panthers were issued with warning notices by the Organised Crime Squad after being pictured at dinner at The Star this past Friday night. Paulo uploaded a photo to Instagram showing the trio dining with former Nomad bikie members Paul Younan and Rafat Alameddine, the latter of whom is on bail for fraud and money laundering charges.
It’s understood that at 11pm that same night, after the dinner, Norman was caught allegedly carrying the capsules after passing through a metal detector test.
A year for the Eels that began with soaring mediocrity is now in absolute tatters, with this incident following hot on the heels of a salary cap scandal that saw the NRL whack them with a hefty fine and loss of premiership points, a punishment that the club is considering appealing.
