Nine Is The NBL’s New Broadcast Partner ‘Cos Dunks Deserve More Airtime

If you notice an abundance of tall and very sweaty men wearing shorts on 9GO!, do not be alarmed. Everything is fine. It’s just that the Nine network has signed a deal to become the official broadcast partner of the NBL.

Two games from every round of the imminent 2018-2019 NBL season will be broadcast live on 9GO!, bringing the nation’s premiere basketball league to keen punters nationwide.

In addition to those two live games, fans will be able to watch each and every game online after the final buzzer, regardless of what channel snatches those games’ original live broadcast rights.

Nine will be the league’s official broadcast partner for the next three years, and recent additions to the competition suggest they’ll be covering some of the biggest years in the NBL’s history.

Take Andrew Bogut, the former Golden State Warrior and 2015 NBA champion, who is bringing all seven feet of himself to the Sydney Kings for the upcoming season.

Speaking to Nine’s Wide World Of Sports, the centre admitted press interest in the game can be “annoying”, but conceded it’s pretty vital for the sport to grow Down Under.

Expect us to be a little bit more annoying in the years to come.
