For Your Viewing Pleasure: A Linebacker Flattening The New England Mascot

The New England Patriots are in the Super Bowl again. Third year in a row. Fourth time in five years. And that must be so great for them and all their supporters who are now in their 18th consecutive year of experiencing absolutely no misery whatsoever.

For the rest of us, we can only seethe from the sidelines and take what little pleasure we can in the various minor pitfalls that befall them.

Case in point: It’s NFL Pro Bowl week, and various league luminaries are converging in Orlando ahead of Monday’s Pro Bowl game.

That includes the entire current crop of NFL team mascots as well.

Including the idiotic Patriot mascot.

Having had quite enough of “Pat Patriot” (christ alive what a shitful name) for one year, New York Jets linebacker Jamal Adams saw an open chance to exact a little payback in the form of running him over like a damned steamroller.

Honestly? This is satisfying as shit.

Now then. Was that hit hard enough to reportedly put the guy inside the mascot suit in hospital? Yes.

But – BUT! – Adams apologised sincerely shortly afterwards, telling ESPN My intention was never to hurt him. it was all about just a joke but I definitely want to check on him and make sure everything is good. At the end of the day we were out here just having fun and it wasn’t nothing intentionally to try to hurt the guy.

So as far as I’m concerned, we’re all good there.

Absolutely obliterating mascots. It’s never not funny.
