After miraculously escaping injury from a white pointer shark attack live on air in South Africa, Australian pro surfer Mick Fanning has seemingly defied fate once again, in a second shark scare in as many weeks.
60 Minutes secured an exclusive interview with Fanning following his attack, due to air this Sunday.
Reporter Peter Stefanovic followed Fanning on his return to the water at Hastings Point on the Tweed Coast – a move that would take nerves of steel at the best of times.
While there’s nought a spotting of a fin or the shark (in this promo), Fanning’s visibly shaken reaction speaks volumes. “There he is, straight out – I just saw it,” Fanning says.
