Michael Phelps Wins Most Olympic Medals Ever

After winning gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay last night, swimmer Michael Phelps has entered the history books as THE GREATEST OLYMPIAN OF ALL TIME according to everyone. Phelps successfully secured his 15th Gold, which is also his 19th Olympic medal, which makes for more solo medal mongering than some nations’ combined total.

By reaching the big 19, Phelps has broken the record previously held by Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina (18) and cemented his place as not only an Olympic great but as a poster boy for high achieving marijuana smokers all over the world.

Phelps first made a splash (groan) at the Sydney 2000 Olympics as a 15 year old kid with braces, and he has continued to make headlines both in and out of the pool, most memorably after a photo surfaced showcasing his pro skills with a bong.

The London 2012 games have seen Phelps win a total of three medals including Silver in both the 200m butterfly (formerly his signature event) and the 4x100m relay. The 26 year old merman still has two events left in London before he gets out of the pool for good, retiring immediately after the games.
