Lots Of People Are Blaming Drake For Serena Williams’ U.S. Open Loss

The 2015 U.S. Open has been all about the shock upsets – Andy Murray was defeated by South African Kevin Anderson before the quarter-finals, while earlier today, Serena Williams had her Grand Slam dreams smashed by unseeded Italian player Roberta Vinci.
Vinci, who has been defeated by Williams four times in the past and had never won a single set against her until now, took out the match 2-6 6-4 6-4, surging through to the final with the help of some spectacular rallies.
The Italian player called the win “the best day of my life”, but was still humble in victory, apologising to Serena and the American people for knocking her out of the tournament, but adding “today is my day, sorry guys.”
In the wake of Williams’ defeat, fans have been searching for someone to blame, and have settled upon rumoured boyfriend Drake, with Twitter turning on the rapper and and declaring him a “bad luck charm” for the world number one.
In no time at all, the #BlameDrake hashtag was trending, with people lining up to take snarky potshots at poor old mate Aubrey Graham:

Roberta Vinci will now face fellow Italian Flavia Pennetta in the U.S. Open final on September 13.
