We joked about it a little bit yesterday, because the Rio Olympics are fast approaching and goddamn everything about it is screaming “absolute trainwreck.” But the situation surrounding the temporary kidnapping of Kiwi fighter Jason Lee is getting scarier by the second.
Policia Militar have shown up at my apartment unannounced. I have refused them access, called my embassy and we are waiting for Civil Police

Lee’s girlfriend, journalist Laura McQuillan, has given further updates stating that civil police authorities had arrived on the scene and were with the pair.
