He’s done it! Jarryd Hayne is officially part of the NFL, having been announced as part of the San Francisco 49ers official 53-man roster earlier this morning.
Hayne himself, clearly overflowing with happiness, confirmed the news on Twitter earlier today on Twitter:
IT ALWAYS WORKS OUT! I thank GOD for WHAT HE has done and going to do on this incredible journey!! I’m on the 53 MAN ROSTER FOR THE #49ers.

The NFL’s offiial account #HaynePlaneHereToStay, while his team, the 49ers, seemed pretty bloody stoked to welcome him, posting the below:

ComCast Sports Network Bay Area sports reporter Matt Maiocco also confirmed the news, saying:
“In a stunningly swift transition to a new sport in a new country, Hayne on Saturday won a spot on the 49ers’ initial 53-man roster. The deadline to roster cuts arrived at 1pm, and neither Hayne nor his agent, Jack Bechta, received any bad news. That means Hayne has made the team.”
