Jamie Whincup Drives Fast For Ages

Jamie Whincup has won the 50th Bathurst 1000 in one of the closest finishes in the events history. After a 161 laps it came down to a split second victory for Whincup and co-driver Paul Dumbrell over the fast finishing David Reynolds/Dean Canto team. It’s the 4th time Whincup has won the big race.

“Yeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!”

The weekend long festival of burning rubber drew record numbers with 207 205 people attending the event over the weekend. With a ledger as lopsided as the State of Origin records, Holden won the race for the 15th time in the last 20 years.
