ALL WE SEE IS GOLD, BABY.

Australia has WON the first ever rugby sevens final in Olympic history. The women’s side beat New Zealand 24-17 in a thrilling final to secure the win / become goddamn Aussie legends.

All 12 players (starting team and subs – Shannon Parry, Sharni Williams, Chloe Dalton, Emma Tonegato, Charlotte Caslick, Alicia Quirk, Emilee Cherry, Nicole Beck, Gemma Etheridge, Evania Pelite, Amy Turner, Ellia Green and the coach Tim Walsh) took to the podium arm-in-arm to receive their medals.

(That’s Canada with the bronze.)

Aussies left right n centre have been tweeting their congrats to the team and particularly Charlie Caslick (who emerged as the star player these Games) – including from rugby greats Quade Cooper and David Pocock.
