Former Wallabies Star James O’Connor Arrested Buying Cocaine In Paris

Former Wallabies star James O’Connor has spent a night in a jail cell in Paris after being arrested on suspicion of attempting to buy cocaine outside a popular nightclub.
French police allege that the 26-year-old was outside the Place de l’Etoile club in the early hours of Saturday morning when he was seen handing cash over to a drug dealer.
Former All Blacks star Ali Williams was arrested alongside O’Connor, and a source claims that “both players were drunk at the time of their arrest and were not carrying identification papers.”
French media claim that the two were seen handing over an amount of approximately 200 Euros, and allege that Williams threw three packets of a substance to the ground at the time of the arrest.
Two alleged drug dealers were also apprehended.
O’Connor’s manager David Shand told News Corp that he was “aware of the situation”, adding only “I have been in touch with all relevant parties but am not prepared to make further comment.”
While he is said to be in the midst of negotiating a new deal with French club Toulon, O’Conner has also contemplated a return to Australia with a view to competing in the 2019 World Cup.
