Former Cricketer Ian Healy Blames WAGs For Australian Ashes Humiliation

Lever open the [u-wot-m8-] folder currently bursting at the seams on your desktop, friends, because the portfolio of Australian media gaffes staged by men yelling at clouds has welcomed a new belief-defying m8 into the fold.

Commentating Australia’s woeful first innings at the Ashes on Thursday night, former Australian cricketer Ian Healy reportedly chalked Australia’s loss up to the “distraction” of the team’s wives, girlfriends, partners and children watching from the stands.

Not blaming the pitiful and history-making gameplay. Not blaming a catastrophically handled first innings. And definitely not blaming the unbreakable finesse of England’s Stuart Broad. But loading blame on to the WAGs. Behold Healy’s commentary on Channel Nine’s broadcast of the match.

“All their partners are here and some of the most respected cricketers I played with hated that distraction. They weren’t allowed on tour until after the series had been won. Your mind needs to be completely focused on it. Cricket is a sport that requires complete concentration.

You need everything going for you and I’m not sure they’re pushing for that hard enough. Their hearts might not be that strong … are they together as a team? Do they fragment from here? Do they meet and talk about it tonight? Will they confront it?”

YEAH. Just LOOK at these saboteurs secretly undermining our national sport.

Former NSW premier Kristina Keneally was quick to respond to a still-swelling commentary of Healy’s commentary online.

Honestly. Even humans still slinging single digits managed to provide a more eloquent commentary on the game.

You know the drill, Healy. Into the freakin’ bin.
