Despite Floyd Mayweather‘s many flaws, it’s actually turned out to be forgetfulness that’s caused him to be stripped of the title that he won from Manny Pacquiao.
The World Boxing Organisation have officially stripped him of his welterweight world title that he won two months ago because he:
- Forgot to pay the $200,000 sanctioning fee required by the WBO, and
- Forgot to forfeit his title belts from lower weight divisions, as the WBO prohibits fighters from holding titles in multiple weight categories.
Floyd, you big silly duffer! He has the right to appeal, which he more than likely will to regain his title. We’re sure everything will all work out perfectly for him in the end with very minimal repercussions, as usual. ಠ_ಠ)
Isn’t that weird? Violent domestic abuse isn’t enough of a reason to lose your titles, or even credibility, but your bad memory is. What a world!
