You may vaguely recall a small dust-up between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao that took place in Las Vegas in May of this year.
Earlier today, Mayweather announced that he will follow up that now-legendary bout in September, when he takes on former welterweight world champion Andre Berto at the MGM Grand.

Mayweather announced the fight earlier today on social media, telling fans to “come be part of history.” On September 12, he will be looking to match the 49-0 unbeaten record currently held by Rocky Marciano.
Mayweather’s contract with Showtime expires after this upcoming fight, and he has hinted that he plans to retire afterwards. His Pacquiao fight smashed pay-per-view records, and it’s a safe bet this one will do the same.
Last month, Ronda Rousey threw a fairly sick burn Mayweather’s way when she beat him out for the ‘Best Fighter’ trophy at the ESPY awards.
Earlier this year, the fighter was denied entry into Australia due to his domestic violence convictions.
