Welp. That didn’t take long.
Before the ink was dry on Kevin Durant‘s very digital post on the Player’s Tribune confirming his decision to move to the Golden State Warriors as a free agent, angry and upset Oklahoma City Thunder fans had already begun the process of disowning him completely.
Durant, whose presence at the Warriors now turns them from “a historically dominant basketball team,” to “Megazord,” revealed he’d accepted a two-year, $53.4million deal with the Warriors, leaving Oklahoma after 8 seasons with the Thunder.
OKC fans? They are fucking furious.
Within roughly 0.3 seconds of the announcement going public, Durant’s #35 Thunder jersey felt the wrath of flames from fans wanting to shed their closets of all Durant-related Thunder gear tout bloody suite.

Meanwhile, every old Seattle Sonics fan sitting here watching all this go down like…
Ahh well. Casual reminder that the Warriors were supposedly unbeatable this year, and the Cavs rolled them with LeBron James and half a box of matchsticks.
Champion team > Team of Champions, etc.
