Fears Bodies Found In Van In Mexico May Be Those Of Missing Aussie Surfers

It is feared that two bodies found in a burned-out van in Mexico may be those of West Australian surfers Dean Lucas and Adam Coleman, who were last seen on November 20.
The men, who were on a surfing trip when they disappeared, had not contacted their families in more than a week, and never checked in for their reservations at Guadalajara on November 21
Overnight, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade issued a statement, confirming that their vehicle – a white and blue camper van, with Canadian number plates – has been found:
The families and partners are aware the van in which they were travelling has been located by Mexican authorities and that a tragic event has occurred.

The families hold deep fears for the safety of their sons but stress that they are still waiting for details to be confirmed.

Members of Dean and Adam’s families will be travelling to Mexico in the coming days and working with Australian consular officials and Mexican authorities. We ask for privacy during this enormously difficult time.

Overnight, Coleman’s mother shared a link to a crowdfunding page, where donations are being sought to fly the men’s families to Mexico.

Earlier this week, Lucas’s girlfriend Josie Cox, based in Canada, shared a Facebook post with photos of the two men, appealing for anyone with information to come forward:

It breaks my heart to do this but……..we are appealing for any information regarding DEAN LUCAS and ADAM…
