Don’t Click If You Can’t Stomach Footage Of A Man U Player’s Leg Exploding

WARNING: CANNOT UNSEE.

The “Sports Most Graphic Injuries” genre just got itself a brand new entry, and it’s definitely not for the weak of stomach.
Star Manchester United defender Luke Shaw suffered a catastrophic double leg break on a rough challenge from PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno, during the clubs clash in Group B of the Champions League earlier this morning.
Shaw, a 20 year-old prodigy who was signed by Man U last year for £30million – a then-world record transfer fee for a teenager – had been in sparkling recent form prior to today’s incident, making the injury all the more ill-timed.

The injury occurred at around the 14 minute mark of the first half, and came in a game where everything that could’ve possibly have gone wrong for Man U did, with PSV running out 2-1 winners.

Shaw was taken to hospital and will undergo surgery on his shattered leg, with a long recovery time likely to rule him out for much of – if not all of – the current English Premier League season.
