Hollywood mover and shaker (jokes!) Mathew Perry has hand selected David Beckham to appear in his new comedy (jokes x2!) Go On about a cocky sportscaster dealing with the recent passing of his wife. Expect meaningful lol’s plenty of sport star cameo’s so thankfully ol’ Goldenballs won’t be the only one to suffer.
It’s not as if this is the first time Becks has been courted for acting work with Tom Cruise suggesting that the soccer star would be a natural in front of the camera:
I’d love to do action movies with Beckham. He would be great, he could kick ass. I’ve been encouraging him to become an actor. He’s got the looks, he’s got everything. He’d be terrific.
