Pearce shared the safe arrival of her beautiful twins, Sylvie and Roy, just ten weeks ago (!!!) but is committed to making her comeback in 2020. In fact, she told Melbourne Media that while pregnant, she was already thinking about her return.

“I always said that if I felt up to it and recovered well, and the family were doing well, then I’d try to get back and that’s the position we’re in, so I’m looking forward to next season.”

Pearce said she’s still early on in her recovery but things are “feeling really good.”

“I’m in pretty good shape considering my body carried two babies, but I’ve started doing three days with [physiotherapist] Kathleen [Sakadjian] and the team in at Melbourne.”

“It’s great to have that support straight away – I think it’s going to make a huge difference in my recovery and how I get back.”

On Twitter, Melbourne celebrated the news with this bloody adorable piccie.

LOOK AT THOSE LITTLE CHEEKS.

Pearce told Melbourne Media that the bundles of joy are “doing great” at home. And though it’s going to take “a whole village” to get her back on the field, Pearce thinks it will be great for her kids “to see their mum out there going after her dreams.”

Whatta champ.
