In an act of spectacular hubris worthy of, well, Conor McGregor, the MMA star and his girlfriend Dee Devlin welcomed a baby boy to the world overnight, and have blessed him with the only name worthy of such a golden child – Conor McGregor.
The baby boy, full name Conor Jack McGregor Jr, was born in Coombe Maternity Hospital on Friday night, weighing approximately 4kgs. Grandfather Tony McGregor says that mother and child are doing well, telling the Irish Times:
“The whole family are absolutely delighted. We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy.”
McGregor and Devlin have already set up a verified Instagram account for their young bub, and while it’s still blank at the time of writing, it has close to 30,00 followers. (It’s only following two accounts – dear old mum and dad).
Fans are celebrating this naming choice as the most Conor McGregor-ish move that Conor McGregor has ever pulled, and frankly we do not disagree.
The two have not yet shared any photos of the little one, but here’s a recent pic of The Notorious holding his baby nephew, that will probably give you a decent idea of what to expect:
