Irish MMA fighter / pain-inflicter Conor McGregor made history today by becoming the first bruiser in UFC history to simultaneously hold titles in two weight classes.

McGregor got there by knocking out opponent Eddie Alvarez in the second round of their UFC 205 lightweight clash, adding to the featherweight belt he scored against José Aldo last year.

That’s all well and good, and it’s pretty chill being arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter on planet Earth, but McGregor also successfully defended his shit-talking title with the cockiest soundbite of his very cocky career.

During a post-bout chat with the ever-present Joe Rogan, McGregor spared a second for everyone who doubted he could smash his way through into the history books:

It’s not yet known if McGregor will be allowed to actually defend both titles, and the prospect of throwing his body through that kind of physical strain is unreal. Nobody can challenge his ability to mouth off, though.
